ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Health Department is making a slight change to their hours of operation. St. Joseph's WIC office will close at 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month for a staff meeting.
The office is normally open until 4 p.m. on weekdays. WIC Coordinator Lisa Horn told KXCV/KRNW that the once-monthly closure will allow increased staff communication and is not COVID-19 related.
Horn adds that even though the office is closed for in-person appointments indefinitely, WIC is open for remote business across the state and is accepting new applicants.
Horn says you can find your local WIC clinic by going to wic.mo.gov and searching by location.
